The book of unique dragons that everyone has been waiting for is now in print and on Etsy as a digital download. It’s at a low introductory price only on Amazon! I have a 15% off coupon running for the weekend for Etsy. Just enter: THEREBEDRAGONS when you check out.
I’m totally a nervous wreck about this and other things. Health has been rough since early December. Flare, missed so much work it’s stupid. It’s stupid to the point of wanting to consider a GoFundMe so that I don’t lose the stuff vital to us (car, etc) and so….I’m trying out something new. I’m listing a few original art pieces on auction on my FB artist page with starting bids at $5. Scary!!! What if it goes no where? What if people back out? It’s like putting your babies out there into the world, fearing rejection. My artist page is at https://www.facebook.com/artbyshelah/
I just don’t know what else to do at this point. Disability takes a very long time and generally doesn’t pay enough for all of the essentials, like rent. Fingers crossed that being artsy can help get us somewhere. I’m still creating coloring books. This image here is Faun…
I also have been working away on dragons for the upcoming book, “Dragon Wings and Wild Things” due to release late March or early April 2017. I only have 5 more dragons to go. Can I get them done in time? You betcha.
If you missed it, “Weirdlings and Wildlings Vol. 2” is now available. To see some of what you’ll find in this book, check it out:
If you like fairies and you like cats, meet the new February Furbaby. This is a cat made just to celebrate all of the wonderful February birthdays out there (like mine!) and features a birthstone to color your way, a fancy little fairy cat, and the monthly flower as a stained glass border.
You can see there are many ways to color this image. What way will you choose?
Got my Twitter account back! I also wiped out that woman’s name, wiped her profile pic and all that adult crud from it. Now I’m cleaning up the stuff she/he followed for that spamming content from my account. It’s now safe to follow @Artbyshelah now. I did keep the name she used (instead of seasonswayart which it was originally) because it IS the business name I use now.
Frustrated and unhappy that my twitter account for this was taken over, renamed, re-emailed and re-passworded. I had it all set to feed to it so I know that it’s going to @artbyshelah on twitter, but it was seasonswayart, an account I had for ages and only started truly using with my coloring book stuff. It now has some other woman’s name, my artbyshelah domain as a name, and risque photos. I apologize for the content for anyone who was following it that was my friend. I’m not sure if twitter can or will take care of it, but I’m trying to get that sorted out. I’m having this now feed to my other twitter account.
If you check it out, you will notice that I publish my books via CreateSpace. I also have a pdf version available on Etsy. One of the complaints artists hear is that the paper is too thin. The paper is 60lb medium white and actually colors very well. It’s not too thin. Most of us print our books single-sided, so a blotter page behind it will be fine. To see what can be achieved on CreateSpace coloring book paper versus card stock paper, check out this video by Absurd Reviews.
