Creating a Coloring Page by re-purposing older art into something new.
I’m working now on new content for my website. https://www.shelahdowart.com/
I’m creating some artwork now that will only be offered through that venue over the coming months. Whatever I create and display there won’t be in book form until 2018 as an anthology of the year’s work. You don’t wait that long, do you?
The inside of the book is now complete. The cover is almost done. We’re finishing up art for the back cover. The new fairy book is almost ready to greet the world! If you want to know when it comes out, please watch this page. It’s down to the wire, as they say.
I took the other camera back and got one with a longer cord. I really am enjoying this whole create on camera thing. It’s fun to go back and watch the design grow into something new. This one needs to be scanned and then cleaned up. She’ll be the very last image to go into the fairy book.
In other words, it’s almost done! I have colorists that are working now on some images for the back cover. I’m figuring out order of images in the book. Everything is right on track and ready to release very soon.
I am figuring out a new webcam. I haven’t decided what I think of it. I wanted to share some of my artistic process with you. This is an owl and fairy. She has been edited somewhat since to go into the coloring book.
So far things are going great. I now have a few positive reviews on the book. I’m chugging through my fairies.
Normally I use these to ink my art: Zig Millenium Pens
Unbelievably worth it. I feel like they never seem to die.
For this one, I’m using my wacom to draw on a pencil sketch. This is from my upcoming fairy book. I still expect mid-May release. If you’re interested, please do follow.
Note: I’m fighting migraines and can’t sleep, so I’m also not drawing too much the last couple of days. I still don’t think that’s going to hold things off for future release.
